I’m sitting at my desk (okay, dining room table) looking out of the French doors into the wet, rainy and miserable garden thinking how much I’d like to be somewhere hot where these Metallic Espadrilles would look so lovely. I spotted them on ASOS and they just transported me (sadly only in my head) to sunny days on the beach.
They’re exactly the kind of shoe that I’d stop someone who was wearing them to ask where they’re from (the only time in real life that’s happened to me – twice in one day – was when I was wearing gold Fitflops so gold is a thing!). The conversation would be as follows:
“Love your shoes.. where did you get them?”
Similar to this
“Oh, I ordered them from ASOS.”
“Okay, I’m going to do that..”
“Oh, well I bought them back in January so there aren’t any left.”
And then, I’d spend the rest of my holiday trying to find something even vaguely identical. It’s what shoes can do to a woman!

Those are gorgeous shoes. My most worn shoes are metallic or black. I just bought myself some copper Birkenstocks (I live in Australia) and will be wearing them every chance I get.
