Now then..this is a good idea! You might not realise that tights manufacturers use a similar colour process to the cosmetic industry to get tights that are right for international skin colours – and some do it better than others. I’m a FALKE fan through and through, although sometimes nearly cry at the prices – eek. The new Perfect Skin Colours use a similar method to how foundations are made – taking the four most prevalent international shades and building from that. The result is that you get tights that are as near to a perfect skin tone match; the aim is for an airbrushed leg look.
I also had never really realised that the swatches in store in tights departments are for you to match to your tone – I just thought they hung there so we could see the colours properly.
