Okay, so here they are – *those* boots. Colors of California High Tops are a marmite boot, I think – you will either love them or loathe them. I’m obviously in the love camp since I treated myself to a pair but even I’m realising I’m going to have to gather some confidence to wear them! They’re not like anything else I have – or have ever had!
What’s cool about Colors of California High Tops is that they have a hidden wedge so you get all the look of a flat trainer or boot but with a disguised lift – great for short-legged people like me! The finish on them is great (I’m cringeing a bit at the gold zip pulls though – how am I going to style those out?) – I have no complaints. And, the white rubber on the sides has been dirtied up already so they don’t look like glow in the dark white stripes!

Another of the high top options are these Gun Wedges – a little bit of me wishes I’d ordered these instead!
The Colors of California high tops are £100.70 HERE. Tell me what you think… should I swap?
