I started this post as bobble hats but so many bobbles are made of real fur or angora (that’s you Topshop, despite supposedly withdrawing angora) so I’ve gone without bobbles! However, there’s a brilliant tutorial on making your own bobbles HERE so you can dress up a beanie. I was specifically looking for neon bobbles on plain hats (don’t ask me why) and there are none to be found. I’m genuinely tempted to just make one of my own. I think I can remember making bobbles at school, actually, so here’s hoping that the memory returns! Anyway, I love a bit of neon in winter – the nicest hat I found is the Jigsaw Neon Curl Trim, £25 HERE made of wool.
Markus Lupfer Tiara BeanieIf you like to get playful with accessories, then the Tiara Beanie from Markus Lupfer is so cute. I’ve seen it on a model shot and it’s quite a loose fit hat and again, it’s wool. The bad news is that it’s £140 (yikes!) but I’ve spotted it reduced to £84 HERE. Princesses only, I think!
This is N Peal’s glam cashmere beanie – I found it on the Outnet HERE for £53.40 reduced from £89. I just want to put a pink neon bobble on it. Oh, dear. Cream is a great colour in winter – especially for hats as it kind of plays with the light and brightens the face (I think).
