Scooting around the various global beauty packaging sites is a good way to foretell beauty trends – I stumbled upon this new mascara design, the 1derlash Pen, claiming to be the world’s first airtight mascara. I don’t know! It looks unwieldy to me.
Apparently, it has a quicker drying time than most mascaras and to apply, you sweep it up through the lashes. I’m pretty sure some brands will take this one on if only to add to the innovation roster – I think I’ll need some convincing though that airtight is enough of an advantage to wrestle with the application. Right now, I’m thinking I’ll take my chances with bacteria.
The creators are a company called Cosmopak and the research and development has taken 3 years.
