MAC Harrods Palette

MAC Harrods PaletteThere has been so much interest in the MAC Harrods Palette on Instagram that it’s more or less a guaranteed sell out when it launches on Boxing Day. It’s absolutely stunning with the internal shades reflected in circles above the gold Harrods building BUT I so wish that they’d just gone the extra mile and printed the Harrods store onto the casing and not just the packaging. It definitely loses its lustre once out of the box and just a little extra attention to detail would have made it complete. Next thing to say is that it’s only available at the MAC Counter in Harrods and not on line. Boo.

Shades in the Fashionably Harrods/Eyes X15 palette are:  VANILLA EXTRACT soft warm yellow beige (frost), HONEY LUST bronze-dipped peach (lustre), TEA SERVICE peachy gold shimmer (frost), BAMBOO light beige with peach (matte), HYDE PARK soft khaki (matte), SLOANE SQUARED shimmering neutral beige (veluxe pearl), PLEASING TO THE EYE mid-tone rose (matte), ANTIQUED ash brown with bronze (veluxe pearl), BESPOKEN TO warm brown (matte), DANCE IN THE DARK deep cool brown (velvet), ENGLISH ACCENT light beige nude (matte), LUXURY CACHET muted brown with gold sparkle (frost), FASHION HAUTE SPOT deep grey brown (matte), GIFT WRAPPED cool beige high pearl (frost), CARBON intense black (matte), and it costs £49.50.

So, the upshot is that you’ll need to be in Harrods on 22nd (initially notifed as Boxing Day but looks like they’ve pulled it forward). I don’t have any information about how many of these limited editions exist. I do use my MAC Eye Shadow x 15 Cool Neutral a lot and like the format of these with a good mix of finishes. But, one more thought on the creative might have put this on another level.
