Whew – am I pleased to see the Lisa Eldridge Lancome Palette aka Auda(city) In Paris! It’s taken quite some getting hold of despite extreme helpfulness at the Lancome end. I know that Auda(city) In Paris is hotly anticipated by a legion of Lisa fans and in true Lisa style, it’s a very thoughtful, carefully edited palette.
There are 16 shades, grouped together as quads; once you look at it like that, it’s a four quad palette, but with all the flexibility of a do-as-you-please, but colour groupings are very helpful. Shade names are (beginning left to right top row: Filigree, Chouquette, Parfait, Joie, Voyage, Sante, Exhibition, Zip Me Up, Volcano, Audacious, Couture and “It” List. The bottom row, left to right is Kitten Heel, Tenacity, Clock Strikes 12 and Nuit.
This swatch is the first two quad sections, so it’s a light nude quad followed by a taupe-to-plum quad and each one has both matte and shimmer.
The next swatch is the final grouping in the top row; a grey and brown based foursome and the final four is a mix of peach to steel – this is the quad I’m most interested in experimenting with.
Lancome Auda(city) Palette
As Lancome creative director, the Auda[CITY] Paris pallet is officially created by Lisa Eldridge and will be launching late October as a Debenhams exclusive. The price will be £42. I know that in the Auda(city) range, we can expect to see a New York palette and a London palette a bit further down the line. I like the way that Lisa has kept the Lancome aesthetic but also added detailing of her own in a foolproof colour selection. Oh, I ought to mention that there is also a double ended brush in the palette, and it’s pretty decent.
