Forgive me.. I know these aren’t pretty…

Uniqlo Shape Wear
Uniqlo Shape Wear

BUT, the reason I’m mentioning them is that they’re the most comfortable form of shape wear I have ever worn and because they’re so lightweight, they don’t make you boil. I have literally had to run out of a hot, crowded room to let the heat out of my Spanx before now (I know, I am oversharing…) and with these, that just never happens. They don’t ‘bolt’ you in and I suppose they are possibly more smoothing than hour-glass creating although I do find they make my shape look much tidier and my tummy flatter. They’re also brilliant for preventing bottom-wobble – I’ve seen a lot of that in flimsy jump-suits this summer – when you walk. It’s only cute when there isn’t a lot to wobble! I never wear shape wear other than these – it’s usually uncomfortable, far too tight, the ‘shape’ has to spill out somewhere and always does and particularly with pants to whittle your waist I find that your food stops at the top of the pants and can’t make its way further down until you take them off. Indigestion all round!

Totally an overshare, I know, but seriously, they’re amazing and can be worn in summer without creating a nether-region fire-ball, which is why I mention them. They’re £9.90 a pair HERE.

I’ve also bought a few of these in the Airism range. Uniqlo are really clever at innovative fabrics (no, this isn’t a sponsored post.. just a genuine rave) and it genuinely keeps you cool by allowing heat to escape from your body, unlike most other fabrics, which would keep it there. It also absorbs moisture and releases it through the material so you never feel sticky in the heat. It’s so flipping clever. It’s also got odour neutralising properties..not so necessary in a cami as above and I haven’t tested that aspect out because I don’t have any Airism with sleeves. But, I’ve worn and worn my camis to layer strappy t-shirts with. They’re on offer for £7.90 currently, HERE.
