Armani Summer 2012: Ecailles

Ecailles Luxury Eye Palette (LE)

Armani’s summer collection is something of a surprise compared to the other major collections for next season. It’s really quite dark, using this depth of colour to represent everything oceanic; the moon on the sea, black and white pearls and inky depths. I get it, I really do, but most people go with the vibe when purchasing seasonal colour and with so many vivid oranges and pinks around this sits a little bit oddly for spring and summer. The palette is beautiful, as are the Eyes To Kill Eyeshadows but they’ve got to rely on consumers feeling in the mood for something mysterious and dark in summer. That said, Eyes To Kill Intense in Ecailles is a truly special blend that I’d love to wear.

Eyes To Kill Intense: Obsidian Black
Eyes To Kill Intense: Obsidian Grey
Eyes To Kill Intense: Ecailles
Eyes To Kill Intense: Madre Perla
Pink Quartz

Rose Crocoite

Raspberry Zincite

Red Andranite

Gloss D’Armani for spring/summer 2012 looks really promising – they’re made to a ‘watercolour’ effect by blending inky transluscent shades with micronised pigment and I cannot wait to try them.
