If you’re a balm fan like me, then this is a treat indeed. The new Trilogy Make-Up Be Gone Cleansing Balm takes us back to when cleansing balms first came onto the market, before they got fancied up with gelly and balm-to-milk formulas. Some things are best kept completely simple to be at their best.

The balm looks fairly solid in consistency but it’s perfectly melty once on the skin – it has a lightly fruity scent rather than the ‘traditional’ aromatherapy blast, and has plenty of slip so you can actually enjoy massaging it over your skin. I’ve been using Trilogy Make-Up Be Gone Cleansing Balm for several days now, and as the title suggests, it whips through make up – including mascara (although, like any substance you add to black and rub around your face, this is not going to be a good look for a moment or two!) – and once you’ve wiped away with a warm, damp cloth skin still feels nicely bouncy and not dried out.

Speaking of cloths, Trilogy Make-Up Be Gone Cleansing Balm comes with an organic cotton cloth which is more of a slender flannel and thankfully not one of those horrible, sad and droopy muslin things. I’m not picturing it because I’ve used it and nobody needs to see that!

In terms of ingredients, the main players are rosehip, mango and coconut along with sunflower and olive oils. If you love a balm for cleansing, we’re all good here! In terms of price, £19.50 I think is very reasonable for an effective balm. You can find it HERE.

i love Trilogy products! I will definitely get this balm cleanser. It’s not yet available in the U.S. though, so I’ll have to wait.

  2. I love Trilogy. I’m such a cleanser addict. This is going on my wish list, for sure. I’m also looking forward to a cloth that isn’t a muslin. I’m not really a massive fan.

Trilogy is sold at Whole Foods. I will check if this balm is also sold at WF.
