The first thing you’ll notice using this new, very-long-name mask from The Body Shop is how cool it feels on your skin. It’s a light and whippy formula boosted with oats (that feel bitty) and is specifically for calming sensitive skin. I don’t have sensitive skin so it’s very hard for me to say how it does with that, but as a general soothing mask, I found it beautiful and very moisturising. It’s billed as gently exfoliating – you need to leave it on for 5-10 minutes then massage it gently before rinsing off, and that’s when the oaty bits do their sloughing in the most kind-to-skin way.
The Body Shop Masks have exceeded expectation – all of them – and this one, if it proves right for your sensitivities, seem to join that club. My only gripe is that it doesn’t specifically say that it’s for sensitive skin – we’re not mind readers, Body Shop! It’s a stretch to imagine that those with sensitive skin will see ‘soothing’ and immediately make the connection. It’s not quite launched yet but you can read more about it HERE.
