REN Minis

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] So this is a very welcome surprise – REN is a skin care brand that I really rate and use often so I’m happy to see they’re offering minis which give you a generous taster of what the products are like. I find at full size, it’s just a little bit too pricy to take a risk on if you don’t feel it’s absolutely certain about something. I’ll flag my top picks obviously and it looks like we are still waiting for a mini Barrier Support Elixir which I use a lot. Expect this week to be a bit quiet on posts – I have picked up a bug and am waiting it out :-).

Mini REN

The first mini I’d head for is the Mini Evercalm Overnight Recovery Balm (£15). I used this on Friday actually after a day by the seaside – I used plenty of sunscreen but that didn’t stop my cheeks looking red and a bit chapped (wind, I think). It’s instantly soothing and very softening. In that same vein, I’d also pick out the Evercalm Ultra Comforting Recovery Mask (£15) which gives parched skin a drench of hydration to bring back its comfort and flexibility.

Mini REN

Clean Screen is another good try – I like it a lot and have used it often but I never feel I need mattifying so tend to use it on my hands now more than my face. It’s for you if you actively seek a mattifying SPF and prefer your SPF to feel more like skincare. It’s £10. There are 11 minis in total – I’d suggest anything at all from the Evercalm range which is more or less fail safe – if you have skin redness or sensitivities, it’s the right range for you and if you’re looking for skin brightening, the Ready Steady Glow (£10) is a best seller for a reason. Travel is the obvious reason for having smaller sizes but personally, I like them for the lower level of commitment to a product before you know if you love it or not. I’d always, always choose the smaller version of something I haven’t tried before if it’s a possibility (which it rarely is) and in the past I’ve raved about REN and apologised about the price so that’s solved too! Firstly, very sorry to hear you’re poorly, and I hope you recover both quickly and well xx

Secondly, as somebody with very reactive skin, smaller sizes to try are always very welcome! The Evercalm range sounds like something I should try 🙂
