[purchase/affiliatelink/ad] I’m kicking off the week with the only beauty product that I’ve bought throughout lock down – and that was only because I got 100% influenced! I have a subscription on my iPad to The Times and this mask popped up in one of the columns as something lovely. As someone who doesn’t at all like sheet masks, they made it sound so enticing that I ended up ordering. And I’m not disappointed!
I remember testing the Mineral 89 serum and really liking that – this sheet mask promises 24 hour hydration, smoothing and skin plumping using Vichy mineral water and hyaluronic acid. I know that dryness has been a lock down issue – it hasn’t particularly been a problem for me on my face but I’ve definitely seen it on my legs (and hands of course) but I liked the idea of a booster just to see what it can do.
I have no idea why the solution is packaged in one side and the dry sheet in the other and have to admit that I didn’t follow the instructions to squidge one side through to the other, instead snipping the top of both and transferring the mask that way so it could absorb the liquid. I expected it to be drippy but somehow, it wasn’t (I was even armed with a towel round my shoulders) and although it feels much the same as any other sheet mask, it didn’t feel quite so cold, although just as clammy. I gave it the full ten minutes – perhaps a little longer (was watching a documentary about bears!) and then removed it, massaging in the excess product as instructed. You know, this is honestly a great little moisture boost – my skin definitely felt smoother and soothed – I didn’t see plumping as such, but my face felt lighter and brighter and infinitely more supple through to the next day – replenished, I would say. I think, if you experiencing drier skin than normal, this is a treat worth having at £8 HERE, non affiliate HERE, and if your skin loves it, you could go on to the full size serum as a daily moisture burst. It’s £25 for 50ml which I think is good value given how well it hydrates and re-energises, but I’ve discovered a bundle offer for £29 for both HERE, so I wouldn’t hesitate to say go for it.
