[sample/affiliate] There are several options in the Hope In A Jar hydration range from Philosophy, with the newest being the Water Cream version. It’s a cloud-like, moussy and whipped style texture with a light oil feel finish.
It claims to increase skin hydration by 86% for 72 hours which is impressive and early testing would support that it’s super moisturising as well as cooling on the skin. I’d grab this on hot days or if you’re prone to hot flushes and moisturiser makes your skin feel clammy.
When I tried it first I thought it’s as close as you can get to a whipped hyaluronic serum – it definitely has a hyaluronic feel to it once its on your skin although as an ingredient, it’s fairly low down on the listing. I like the texture a great deal – there’s plenty of slip when you move it over your skin but it doesn’t stay in a slippy state, instead leaving a silky veil.
My personal recommendation for this cream is to use as a morning hydration boost (all skin types) – it didn’t interfere with my make up at all so works well as a pre-foundation base – but if you go to bed all hot, I’d give it a shot as a night cream too. It’s pretty much an ageless product – anyone can use it – and I think you’ll be surprised at how addictive it is. There’s something very more-ish about the texture so expect it to disappear fast! I’ve found it for £31.95 HERE compared to the RRP of £35. Non affiliate HERE.
