Origins Modern Friction Cleansing Oil

Origins Modern Friction Cleansing Oil

Origins are certainly revving up cleansing and new product at the moment. Next new release in line for review is Origins Modern Friction Cleansing Oil and if you love an oil, this is a beauty. It’s a bi-phase, so you shake it up to use it, massage it well into your skin, add water at which point it turns into an emulsion that you can massage a bit more before rinsing off. My skin felt very cleansed but still flexible and pliable – I was very happy with this. Right, the smell. I’m sorry but it smells weird! It’s sort of a very cucumber fragrance that to my nose has a bit of a ‘boiled’ smell – it’s not horrible, but you will notice it and wonder about it, I am sure! I keep wondering if it’s the White & Purple Rice (nominal enzymatic exfoliators) but I have no idea what that might smell like in real life. It’s £25 HERE.

The Three Part Harmony Tri Phase Essence Lotion is much lighter in scent – it makes me realise how strong the cleanser scent really is – and if you’re willing to add an extra phase into your skin care it acts as a softening lotion and a beautiful one at that. I get the impression that the tri-phase element is to make it look pretty, but ingredients include Tazetta Lily Bulb (part of the Narcissus family and for which I can find no skin care indications for at all) and myrtle. Gorgeous as it is to look at AND to use, it’s £38 HERE which I find quite highly priced for a product that you will always wonder quite whether it’s done anything.

Your review of the essence lotion is ALL the reasons I love your blog, Jane! Genuinely made me laugh out loud with it’s no BS summary. Thank you.
