Bearing in mind it’s such a lipstick heavy week so far, I thought I’d better flag up something to help you take it all with. One of the big issues with stainy lipsticks and the mattes that form a coating over your lips is that they’re difficult to get off. You have to be gentle with your lips – don’t moosh them around in the take off because the skin there is markedly thinner than other areas of your face (three to five cellular layers compared to fifteen in other areas).
Basically, NYX Be Gone Lip Colour Remover is a condensed oil that breaks down colour particles so that they leave your lips willingly, not fighting! It contains Vitamin E to leave your lips conditioned afterwards, but it’s pretty much all fatty acid esters, wax and silicone after that. You just rub it over your lips (you only need a tiny amount), leave for a moment or two and then wipe off. It’s gentlest to take off with a cotton bud, but a tissue is fine. You’ll find NYX rolling out into Boots. It’s on line at Selfridges but they don’t seem to stock Be Gone.
