Marc Jacobs Re[Cover] Hydrating Coconut Lip Oil

[unpaid/sample] I’ve been craving coconut scents during the sunshine and have just ordered a Pina Colada fragranced candle so I can have that wafting about the house, but in the meantime, Marc Jacobs Re[Cover] Coconut lip oil is in a small way holding the fort til the candle arrives.

It’s big on shine and – obviously – is clear so that you can use it over any other colour or just as a slick coating so your natural lip colour is amplified. Actually, if you apply just a little bit and work into the lips, it acts as a nice comfort base before lipstick. It makes full use of coconut – from the water to the oil and adds in some aloe vera for soothing and smoothing.

Annoyingly, it’s out of stock (which so many things are – I’ve been trying to track down a Chanel UV Essentiel SPF50 and it’s impossible at the moment) but no doubt will filter back into existence in the not too distant future. It’s £25 when it does reappear and indisputably leaves a soft and conditioned lip after use.

Ooh, does it have a good, coconutty scent?

It has a mild coconut smell – you smell it when you apply but it doesn’t linger thereafter x

Weirdly I’ve just bought a lip oil. I went for rose and vanilla from Roseate Lifestyle but I reckon my mum would love a coconut one (she loves Pina Coladas…!)
