[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] Hello again, Sea Fennel! I don’t really use eye-creams but that doesn’t stop me being able to tell you all about the new launch from Ilia. Actually, I went to the launch event which was at a pottery – I was suitably useless at making a brush pot but it was really different and loads of fun… everyone was laughing at their own efforts and if you’ve never sat at a pottery wheel when it’s spinning full tilt, it’s a bit scary and a bit exhilarating at the same time and definitely something to recommend.
The tie in with the pottery, of course, is with the ceramic tip – quite honestly, the most cooling and soothing thing ever invented. Ceramic somehow feels far more skin compatible than metal but believe me, it’s just as chilly. One of Ilia’s main sells is that it’s skin centric and choosing ceramic over metal certainly aligns with that. So, a combination of sea fennel, avocado oil and light reflecting particles make for a very hydrating under-eye boost – prep for concealer to help it stop wandering into creases or going patchy.
Usual under-eye suspects also feature in the form of caffeine and peptides – it really feels so hydrating when you put it on even if you’re going to shiver a bit when you massage it with the tip. It’s interesting that the clinical study was done on women aged 39-65 – exactly the demographic that this will be most useful for in terms of smoothing: 100% said that in 4 weeks, their concealer applied better and more smoothly. If you’re in that familiar place of not finding a concealer that meets your needs (and probably have twenty abandoned concealers in your make up bag) this could be the solution to help you get more from what you already have.
I’m hoping there are sample sachets of this – it’s £47 which is at the top end of what I’d be happy paying but it’s a problem-solution product and if it solves your problem, it’s probably cheap at the price. You can find Ilia Bright Start Activated Eye Cream HERE.
