[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] This is a very sumptuous serum – the sort that your skin is instantly gratified with and it’s exceptionally moisturising.
At £144, yes, it should be good – and really, it is. It feels exactly as a luxury product should. I’ve been trying it for several days and don’t need any other moisturiser at all (although I am combining it on and off with the cheap as chips Superdrug Polyglutamic Acid) because it seems to keep my skin at a perfect hydration point.
Much of Dior’s beauty offerings involve roses – they’re so much part of the brand’s history and heritage. In fact, the rose extracts used for this serum are the result of seven generations of horticultural hybrids to make the most potent mix for skin. As you can see, the texture is boosted by micro-pearls (thousands of them!) filled with over 20 micro-nutrients, including minerals, omega-3 and vitamin E.
The brand suggests using it before you use your regular skin care – you might find, like me, that you don’t need much else, but to test I used it under a day cream and there was no interaction – it sort of feels like the under-sheet on a bed … more comfortable for being there. It feels somewhere between an oil and a serum – as soon as you apply it you are aware that your complexion feels immediately more silky, hydrating and soft. It has a light scent of rose.
If you like your skin care luxury, I very much recommend it and while I feel cynical about most highly priced face care, this somehow feels reassuring. You can find it HERE, non affiliate HERE.
