Mavala Summer 2017

Mavala Summer 2017

Yes! I’m 100% in on the Mavala Summer 2017 collection – such a happy shade set of six. The best thing about Mavala is that their polishes come in small sizes – there’s a very decent chance that if you find a colour you love, you might even finish it up over the summer months. This collection is inspired by the annual Holi Festival of Colours and if you look at some of the images connected with this Indian and Nepalese extravaganza you’ll see how well it’s been interpreted.

While these don’t launch til end of June into John Lewis, the store still has Tahiti and Begonia from last summer’s collection reduced to £2.40 HERE and I’d definitely say don’t even think twice at that price if you’re getting your toes out any time soon!

There isn’t one shade I wouldn’t be happy wearing and at £4.95 each, it’s an easy win. I have run out of nail wheels for swatching but they’re on order so I will revisit this post when I’ve done them. Running through the shades from bottom to top in the picture, it’s Rose Hill, Red River, Blue Mountain, Purple Beach, Coral Bay and Pink City.

You can have one Louboutin for £38 or all six summer Mavalas for just under £30. I know exactly where my pounds would go!

The sunshine and forthcoming bank holiday have had me browsing the shelves for something pretty to paint my nails with. But these don’t launch till June and the reduced stuff at John Lewis has disappeared. Any other suggestions for what we can buy now?
