I have a friend who lusts after a beauty advent calendar but she is allergic to so many ingredients in make up that she can rarely join in. When I spotted the Mavala 12 Days of Christmas and though it was perfect for her because the one thing she can do is nails! I’m quite keen on the whole 12 days concept – I mean, you can give it when you like really, and I have a feeling that someone will find a way to make the whole ‘beauty calendar’ thing an anytime concept (‘a birthday month of beauty’ or ‘two weeks of birthday treats’ – I should probably trademark that!).
The set is quite compact and solid – and it’s properly made – not at all flimsy so I think you can refill it year after year (helpful that it doesn’t have Mavala written on it anywhere other than the plastic film that covers it) if another theme, such a chocolate, takes your fancy.
Inside, you’ll find 6 polishes, 1 hand cream, a pair of tweezers and four nail treatments. No need to mention my window needs a wash.
