Essie Autumn 2017

Essie Fall 2017

This is my favourite collection for a long time from the Essie brand – I love a lavender nail and they’ve put a bit of grey and a ton of metallic into the middle polish, called Girly Grunge. Gorgeous on tips when you’re wearing a black sweater or dress. Weirdly, the shade selection is inspired by the 90’s which I just don’t see at all. Aside from Girly Grunge, if you’re a polish hoarder like me you might already have most of the shades in your line-up – the pale blue, As If, is very familiar! So, above is a cream shade called Mixetaupe, then Girly Grunge, then Dressed To The Nineties, a dark purple with blue/green shimmer.

Above is As If, then Knee-High Life and finally, Saved By The Belle. I love a candy pink as well but it gives me more 60’s vibes than 90’s. Apparently, As If has a ‘hint of red’…. as far as I can tell it can’t be detected with the naked eye!

This collection is a September launch (Boots) and the polishes are £7.99. I know that I’ll wear Girly Grunge a lot.

  7. I have Girly Grunge and Dressed To Thee Nineties. I do agree that the metallic they added in these tone gives a it little edge and it looks chic.
