Yves Saint Laurent NU Bare Look Skin Tint

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] I really have not got back into the swing of things since coming back from holiday. I thought I would be straight at my desk and on it but I feel so slow! Anyway, I’ve tried out Yves Saint Laurent NU Bare Look Skin Tint because tints are perfect for this time of year and I’m a sucker for a wash of tinted skin care.

The shades I picked out for myself are 3 and 4 but I think if I’d seen them in the flesh I may have chosen differently. 4 works for me quite nicely but I think I could do better if you see what I mean! There are 20 shades to choose from. The formula is enriched with hyaluronic acid, Marsh Mallow and glycerin so it’s actually very hydrating on the skin. You will get some skin sheen from it.

I like a squeezy tube – so much more user friendly than spatulas or doe’s foot applicators. I think the packaging is lovely – it looks really stylish and elegant. I found the gel-cream texture blended well but needs a bit more than you think – so when you think you’re done, go round one more time.

I think these are both just on the yellow side for my tone but you’ll see in the picture below that it settled well.

Bottom is 4, top is 3.

The upshot is that you will get evening out of tone, a hydrating and glowy finish (this will also depend upon what you are wearing underneath – if you use a serum under, you will glow more) and a subtle warmth to your tone. I don’t really have any complaints about this at all – it’s well priced for a premium skin tint at £27 but I’ve found it on offer for £22.95 HERE.

This looks good, thank you! Is it at all siliconey?

It contains silicone yes but I didn’t find that it sat on my skin in the way that some products with that ingredient can. If you don’t like silicones though it’s probably not for you 🙂

Thank you. I think I’ll hunt down a tester.
