Honestly, the Urban Decay Moondust Palette has been the most exciting thing I’ve swatched in months! They’re calling it a lunar rainbow which is spot on for the 8 intensely sparkly colours that the palette contains.

From the top row going round clockwise, the shades are Specter, Element, Magnetic, Lightyear, Granite, Lithium, Vega and Galaxy.

See what I mean! The shimmer on these are just incredible – I was literally saying wow out loud the whole time I was swatching. The colours are just so intensely glimmery. You can apply this wet or dry – I used a damp brush to swatch on my arm and when I tested Element on my eye with a dry brush, found it didn’t perform quite so intensely, so I’d advise a damp brush for these colours if you want the full wow! What you need to know is that there is drop – quite a bit of drop – so I’d advise an eye primer as standard with any of these shades and also that you apply your eye make up first. Ideally, you’d have a bit of tissue under your eye to catch the spill (you can use a drop of moisturiser to make the tissue stick) and you need to blend really, really well to get rid of any left over glitter so that it doesn’t drop at a later point.

Colours in the swatch are: Spectre, Element, Magnetic (duochrome purple with blue), Lightyear, Granite, Lithium, Vega and Galaxy.
The palette has already launched HERE for £35.
