The Face Shop Coca Cola Lip Tint

[unpaid/ad/purchased/affiliate] I’m a diet Coke addict – I have one every day (just the one) so I wanted to find the nearest I could to that in lip tint that I could.

This is another of my purchases from YesStyle and it also comes in Cherry Coke, Fanta Orange, Sprite and Fanta Strawberry (is that actually a thing?). And yes! There is a Coke taste. It’s quite mild but definitely there. In terms of colour, this version is an orange-red (more red than orange) that you apply via the foam applicator that uses a squeeze through mechanic.

The tint is actually quite strong with just a very small translucent element to it – hard to explain – but it’s almost a blur matte so even though there isn’t any shine as such it still looks soft on the lips. Mattes definitely aren’t my favourite thing so I’d add a dab of shine over it with some balm to make it wearable. I know the Coke element is gimmicky but I like it more for that, not less.

It really fits the brief for a soft and blurred lip look. It’s £8.39 (at the moment, but prices do change on this site) HERE, non affiliate HERE.

What I love about a lot of the Yesstyle make up is that even when there is a gimmick, the products are still good.

Something similar to Fanta Strawberry can be made at Pizza Hut (went for a convenient meal and was surprised how much better it was than I had expected? It’s still junk food of course but sometimes that’s what I want!) if you get their refillable soda. You fill your drink yourself and can choose a fizzy drink base and then you can add a syrup and there is a strawberry option.

Ooh! It’s a long time since I’ve been to a Pizza Hut but they’re still my favourite pizza.

I love a daily Diet Coke too! My daughter buys it for me in glass bottles. It’s reminiscent of the time I lived in Singapore ( 1960s) and at school we bought small glass bottles of Coke ice cold appropriate for the climate! History repeated itself my son and his wife work and live out there.

I always associate glass bottles of coke with holidays!

  3. Ooo yum I love the sound of this!
