A glamorous new jacket for some of Makeup Revolution’s lipsticks in the form of rose gold! That shade of packaging is a trend in beauty that’s going nowhere, although I’d really like to know what the next trend colour will be for casings. Rose gold looks like it’s always been here because so many brands are using it – I think it’s the Charlotte Tilbury effect but if you know brands that went rose before that one please do let me know.
There are five shades in the Rose Gold collection – all at £3 each. In the line-up above you can see: Private Member’s Club, Diamond Life, Red Carpet, Girl’s Best Friend and Chauffeur.
In the swatch, it’s Private Member’s club, Chauffeur, Girl’s Best Friend, Red Carpet and Diamond Life. As you can see, these aren’t ultra-pigment are buildable. With one swipe you get a sheer shade, but go again and you get a bigger delivery hit. For £3 I don’t see that you can go wrong really – especially if you like to experiment with colour or have been umming and ahhing about whether a red lip is something you can do. The quality is absolutely fine – it’s not up there with Chanel but I doubt anyone would guess it was a £3 snip. There’s a light, vanilla-ish scent.
