So, here it is. The Body Shop British Rose Palette. I am absolutely loving the British Rose collection from The Body Shop but I was rather surprised that this palette comes in at £22. I’ve been corrected and happy to say that it’s actually £20. As you can see there are six eye shades and two blush colours. The eye shades offer three neutral pink based colours (great for brightening the eyes) and a blue based trio. A bit of a unicorn/mermaid theme but very filtered down and safe.

Personally, I’d like to have seen a bit more pigment in these – they are very light on actual colour but if you like your make-up light with nuance, then it’s completely fine. Highly pigmented shadows can be a problem if that’s not your comfort zone, so with The Body Shop British Rose Palette you have the option to build to a certain degree. Although I’m a bit meh about the pale blue shade, it is a trend colour for spring. There is a bit of sheen to the shades and they’re very soft on application.

As far as the two blushes go, the baby pink is so, so light, you can barely see it on my arm, but if you’re very pale skinned and cool toned, these shades won’t give you instant overkill.

I’m in two minds on this one – I really think there should be more pigment and a little more adventure in this (it does have a faint rose scent). As things stand, it’s a very safe, nothing to be excited about, utilitarian palette. What’s your view? You can find it HERE.
