Rouge Bunny Rouge Silk Aether

If I turn back the clock to when beauty blogging was a new-ish thing, Rouge Bunny Rouge was amongst the most coveted of brands. They brought a whole new meaning to neutrals and were doing the nude thing well before most brands cottoned on that it was even a thing. Rouge Bunny Rouge had quite a strong presence in the UK, championed by a now closed website (Zuneta), but I don’t think it ever had a counter space (or did it… at the back of my mind I think Liberty…?). So, with the closure of Zuneta, the brand took a bit of a back seat in the UK – but I would still flag it as an incredible quality brand with a neutral colour spectrum that nobody has yet beaten. I remember Abyssinian Catbird sold out as fast as RBR could stock it! Anyway, all this is leading into saying that there are a couple of new products, notably the Rouge Bunny Rouge Silk Aether duo cream shadow above.

Actually, if you are new to RBR, I wouldn’t start here – the Rouge Bunny Rouge Silk Aether shadows are incredibly smooth and silky, but they’re very gentle colours – the perfect base for other colours but mere hints of colour on their own. The finish is a smooth matte and what this sample (Gossamer Wing) lacks in pigment, it more than makes up for in staying power.

Rouge Bunny Rouge Silk Aether Duos don’t seem to have made it on line yet (grr) – but they do have the single Silk Aethers and of course, Abyssinian Catbird! You can find RBR HERE.
