Primark PS Chocolate Highlighter

Primark PS Chocolate Highlighter

Sooooo, I’ve completely lost track of who is duping who! The marble effect reminds me of Make Up Revolution’s Blush Palettes and individual Baked Blushes, which in turn remind me of MAC Marbled Blush and of course, Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush.

But the whole ‘chocolate’ beauty thing was Too Faced in the beginning, ably followed by MUR. The one thing I didn’t do with this is smell it (I gave it away so don’t even have it here anymore to go back for a sniff). I think you can see from the texture that it’s very powdery – of all the products I’ve mentioned, the Primark Highlighter is the lowest in quality – but it does the job in a certain way.

As you can see, it’s got a rose old aspect to it that’s quite pretty – it’s not even all that light on a pigment for a highlighter and there is a certain amount of ‘beam’ to it. It’s £2! But, overall, it’s pretty clunky and dusty. MAC Mineralize is £23 and I’ve got to say, the Primark version isn’t £21 worse. The MUR version is £2.50 and definitely the better buy of the two budget products.

Love your blog but is it possible to add if a make up line or brand is tested on animals.
It’s really important to know that information.
    Thank you. X

Thanks Andrea – sometimes even I don’t know – basically, I post a lot during the week – 15 a week at least and it’s just not possible to research as fully as if I was posting a few times a week. My posts are top-line info really – but a quick google tells me this: ““Primark does not conduct and does not commission any animal testing. Our terms of trade with suppliers make it clear that cosmetic products and their ingredients must not be tested on animals.”

  2. I can’t believe how nice the packaging is – doesn’t look “Primark” at all! Personally I would be too scared to try this or the MUR on my face – everything tends to break me out, especially drugstore. But I’m glad that there are budget options for those who need them!
