Paul & Joe Limited Edition Summer Beauty Collection

[unpaid/sample] I thought I may as well carry on the Paul & Joe love because this surprise collection drops in April. I haven’t swatched it yet because I’ll do that when it launches and I can link you through.

What the collection lacks in amount, it makes up for in colour. There are three of these dual shade palettes, each with the flower and kitten design on the lid.

Cats always make an appearance because of founder Sophie Malachy’s love of the creatures. But, nobody expected what’s coming next…

Bears! If you remember the cat lipsticks – cat in a top hat, anyone? – then you’ll know that they’re perfectly useable although you do have to bear in mind (see what I did there) that the more you use it, the less bear you will have and I feel just a little bit squeamish about a bear with no head. Actually I feel the same about candles that represent ‘things’ – my mum gave me some little angel candles and watching six angels burning didn’t give the Christmas spirit I was hoping for as they melted head first..

Red is 002 and Blue is 001. Don’t expect to have blue lips though – it’s more of a clear wash.

I am sure these will have proper names rather than just numbers but I don’t have any information – including price – on them at the moment, but from left to right, it’s 016, 017 and er, 018!

So, this is a quick preview – I’ll be back with more information, prices and swatches as and when they’re available to buy.

Ah, Paul and Joe gets me every time with their packaging. Their collections are always tightly curated and never overwhelming.

      exactly!

Years ago we got angel candles and the heads melted, which although predictable was still quite disturbing. We kept them anyway and for several Christmas’s after that they would make an appearance. On Christmas Day we would put uncooked sprouts in the little dent where their heads used to be.

These are lovely, can’t wait to add the eyeshadow to my collection. I’m not keen on the clear bit of the lipstick case, it looks rather odd

      I hear you 😉

My parents called each other Bear instead of their names (no, I don’t know why either!) so I might have to keep an eye out for those lipstick swatches and buy one for my mum 🙂

I’ll do them as soon as they’re available to buy :-))
