Paul & Joe Beaute Summer 2019

[productsamples] You’re going to need to love sparkle to get on board with this beautiful collection for summer from Paul & Joe Beaute.

There’s definitely a 70’s dance vibe to this collection (as you’ll see from the names) but where are Gypsy’s disco pants?

You can’t see the sparkle very well (you will in the swatches), but shades from left to right are: Got To Be Real, I will Survive and Car Wash.

This pretty pair is I Feel Love and The Hustle. The sparkles are multi-dimensional – there’s a predominant colour but around it lots of other shades of twinkle BUT they’re nuances and actually, for sparkly shadows, they’re quite reserved once on the eye compared to other sparkles I’ve seen. That’s a positive in my book – an easy and grown up way to get glimmery lids without looking over the top lit up. The quality is beautiful – they’re very smooth to apply.

The cats are back! And yes, they’re sparkly too. In use, these are more colour balms – they give a juicy hint of colour (although are hard to swatch without the cat’s ears disappearing… I know… ) and are definitely a comfort wear.

From bottom to top: I Feel Love, Car Wash, I Will Survive, Got To Be Real and The Hustle.

The lipsticks don’t seem to have names – yet. The collection goes on sale on 1st May with lipsticks at £14 (limited edition cases are £7) and the shadows are £16. I like the fact that they’re duos – easier to justify two colours you love than another 97 pan palette ;-).
