If you’ve had your eyes on Sephora US you’ll probably have spotted Milk Makeup doing some beautiful things with cosmetics. Run by a team of women who really know makeup (including Zanna Roberts Rassi, ex beauty & style director of Marie Claire UK), it’s one to keep an eye on. I tried to order some from Sephora US this week – computer said no. It can’t be shipped to my location, apparently. This could be for a number of reasons but most likely it may be that Sephora won’t ship it out because it’s going to form a key part of their UK launch, or that a store here already has it as an exclusive and is gearing up to launch it. Either way, very annoying.
There’s more than one way to crack a nut, as they say, so I found this sample size Milk Makeup Eye Pigment in Silent Disco on Ebay for £7. Full sizes are $24 so actually I’m quite pleased I didn’t (couldn’t) spend on the full size because there is plenty in the sample. And it arrived the next day rather than a US shipping time wait.
As you can see, it’s a highly pigmented creme shadow – you can’t really see the sparkles running through it but it’s a kind of purple/pink mix which amps up the brown base.
So, bottom line is that you’ll have to shop in person if you’re visiting the US or keep your eyes on Ebay. But, if it is coming here, it’s an exciting brand that’s going to give others a run for their money.
