Maybelline Super Stay Matte Ink Pinks

Maybelline Super Stay Matte Ink Pinks

[productsample/affiliate] It’s not really clear why these have come my way because I’m pretty sure they’re not new. Perhaps the brand is having a re-focus with pink at the fore because it’s spring. I had a check back to 2017 when these inks first launched and in my post HERE, I call them terrifying!

[productsample] So, perhaps I’m not exactly terrified – there have been a lot of of high pigment, matte lip products since then so I’m more immune, and these are some of the gentler shades from Maybelline, but they’re still packing a mighty old punch in terms of visual impact. I think they out-class much more expensive power-mattes because once they’re on, they stay and need little in the way of tending. Shades from bottom to top are: 125 Inspired, 30 Romantic, 15 Lover and 10 Dreamer. Not at all a bad buy at £9.99 from your nearest Superdrug.

  1. I have these (#gifted); they’re amazing. Very similar to the Revlon ones, they apply beautifully and don’t budge for hours. Good luck getting them off the back of your hand if you tested a teeny blob there like I did. I’m not a fan of heavy mattes but these are super smooth, you can blot to a stain and then put a clear-ish gloss on top.

speaking of gloss, I’m obsessed with Sensai Total Lip Gloss…. it’s the most luminous (clear) gloss ever.

I tested a couple of these on the back of my hand this morning and (despite washing my hands and being out in pouring rain !) the stain is still there over 10 hours later! Just wish I could remember exactly which colourit is! I’m def going to buy one – I like the idea of an all over stain being left once initial cover has worn off, just requiring a touch up with some lip balm.
