Magic Mirror

Now here’s a thing I never knew I needed til now! A portable full length mirror. I’ll be honest – I saw this at the Beauty Exchange conference where I was speaking last Friday. It’s where new brands come together to learn and network. My immediate thought was – well, basically, what would be the point?

But, if you’ve ever stayed in a hotel room where the plug and the mirror are frustratingly far apart, then there’s a point. But really, I can’t see myself packing a full length mirror into my suitcase all that often.

Where the Magic Mirror is really coming into its own is in my house. Unbelievably, we only have one full length mirror and that’s propped up against the window in my bedroom because we never did get round to fixing it to a wall. In fifteen years. I know. There isn’t even one in the bathroom. So the Magic Mirror is getting a lot of love because I can move it around the house (anywhere that there’s a hook). I also think that it’s a flattering mirror.. I am sure I look a little thinner than in real life. It’s not made of glass, but instead, a highly reflective form of acrylic which means there’s no danger of breakage. It also folds into many different forms so for doing your makeup you can see at all angles.

On the face of it, you wonder why, but once you have one, you wonder why you never did before. You can find Magic Mirror for £35 HERE.

  1. I need one of these in my life! I too have mirrors that are propped up everywhere but no nail in the wall to hang them..its been 7 years so I don’t feel so bad compared to your 15 years!

  2. Ok…wow!! This is such a fab gift idea too!

I love this! The plug socket next to the big mirror at my local LA Fitness has broken, meaning to use our straighteners we now have to use the socket at the back of changing room where there is NO mirror. This has caused a major crisis! Magic Mirror could be the answer to our prayers! How small is it when folded though? Is it truly portable? Tx

    1. It truly is portable! It’s made from acrylic so it won’t break like glass, it folds down to 23.5 cm x 21 cm when closed and in full-length it’s 85.5cm x 23.5cm. It weighs 1Kg so not too heavy on your hand luggage either!
      Hope this helps

Massively disappointed. I can’t be the only person who was hoping it would tell me I was ‘the fairest of them all’ on a daily basis. 🙂

  5. Such a good idea for a mirror! I am always carrying my wall mirror around to find the best lighting this would be perfect

  6. I need one of these in my life it looks so great and will make it a lot easier instead of having like 7 different mirrors in your room.

  7. I reckon this would be great for students who move every year and don’t always have a flat or house with a full length mirror. I know I could have used it in my old room!

That sounds amazing. I’ve made so many elaborate towers out of jars of moisturiser and old mineral foundation containers over the years to have my tiny fold-up mirror at the right height when I do my make-up. This would solve the problem once and for all.

Does the glass look like “real” glass instead of acrylic. I love the idea of this.. Sounds as if I need one in my life!! X

yes, it really seem like glass to me.
