I can very happily settle down to a Disney movie any day of the week – aside from the old favourites (Cinderella, Snow White and Lady & The Tramp) – Tangled is an absolute favourite, and actually the one brought me back to realising that they’re really not just for kids. What an easy way to de-stress – to snuggle down in front of a film that you know is visual marshmallow – sweet and fun. The Aladdin collection from MAC is all about Princess Jasmine (determined and confident by the way – not all pretty and silly) although, given that MAC is famously make-up for all, it’s a shame there is nothing for Aladdin!

I think I have the prettiest things from the collection – Always One Jump Ahead powder blush in a gold hit neutral shade (you can easily wear this on lids as well) that’s perfect for warm tones like mine and iridescent and translucent Magic Carpet Ride Lipglass.

I’d say the blush is more of a highlight because it’s very lightful, and the lipglass, a gorgeous, sheer top coat if you don’t want to just wear it on a bare lip. Personally, I like shades like Magic Carpet Ride on a bare lip – it’s understated but brings the extra to a neutral or low key look… also it’s completely ageless: show me the person that doesn’t look elevated in some way with a nuance of pearl against a natural lip. It’s £15.50 and the blush is £23.50. I don’t think I’d wear both together, but Magic Carpet Ride is a holiday lip to my mind; bare skin, warmed tone, dash of mascara and that’s it. They’re HERE.
