[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] Since I’m such a gloss fan, I was really keen to try the new Powerglass from MAC – and since there is 20% off the whole site, now seems like a good time to do so!
Powerglass is the plumping version of Lipglass – super sleek and glossy without being sticky or gloopy. The first thing I noticed about these is the taste which I really didn’t like. That said, I know I’m too sensitive to lip products that have flavouring so perhaps it was inevitable that I’d dislike that element. It’s true to say that after a while I stopped noticing it. It’s a bit of a vanilla mint combo – there’s always a zingy flavour to anything plumping and this is no different. Happy to say, these are nothing like Lip Venom of old, but you will notice a bit of a tingly, menthol thing going on. My lips never noticeably plump but I did find the formula cushiony and it stayed for ages – not bad for a gloss on any level.
The colours are nicely translucent – exactly the sheer level I like to wear. From bottom to top: Pouty Face, Asset Management, Plump Fiction, Pout Last Night and Captain Glam.
