There’s a proper colour treat for those who don’t feel they can do a really strong lip – although the new L’Oreal Paris Sexy Balms come in bold and sheer, it’s the sheers that I like best. They have just enough pigment to colour the lips but not enough to overpower. When it comes to wearing red, if you’re red-shy like me, it’s the best thing! Such A Babe, in a sheer tomato, turns out to be my perfect summer low key red.
There are 3 bolds – swatches coming up – and 5 sheers so for once, the less-is-more look has got the attention.

The sheers are: Go Pretty Or Go Home, Gossip, Such A Babe, Break The Rules and As If! If there’s one thing to have a small issue with it’s that they don’t feel all that moisturising for a balm formula. They’re not drying exactly, but I think I would have liked a bit more of a ‘shea’ feel to the texture. L’Oreal Paris Sexy Balms are £4.99 each, so they’re not bank breakers, but I’m so pleased with that tomato colour! You can find them in the usual stores (Boots, Superdrug etc) but I haven’t spotted them on line yet.
