Lisa Eldridge Enlivening Blush Review

[unpaid/sample] I knew these were going to be great, and sure enough, Lisa Eldridge Enlivening Blush (£24) is just that – in fact, it’s exceeded my expectations. I will say from the get-go that they’re currently sold out and not offering a wait list any more (which obviously means the second batch is also sold out) so if you feel you’d like one, the best way is to get on Lisa’s mailing list to be notified when the next batch arrives.

Above, Island Glow and Pink Soap. I feel that Lisa’s long experience shows in these blushes – they really do give a seamless result with the pigment melting into your skin so that it looks natural and like it’s meant to be there. The translucency is glorious – the wash of colour allows your natural tone to show through while giving a semi-dewy veil of pigment.

Above is Pink Poetry and Dante’s Dream. The Lisa Eldridge Enlivening Blush collection has a painterly quality – like a freshly brushed watercolour across the complexion. I mean, can I praise any more? I love them. The one thing you need to look out for is the pigment intensity – what ever tiny dot you squeeze out into the palm of your hand before it goes onto your brush, halve it!

The Elevated Glow Highlighter (£27 – available for pre-order HERE) is available in four shades and I have Cosmic Rose above. It’s comprised of tiny shimmering pearls in a light tint base and it’s probably one of the more versatile highlighters I’ve come across in that it’s buildable – you can literally have a whisper of highlight or you can max it up. Again, start with the smallest dot on a fluffy brush and build from there.

It’s hard to pick out an absolute favourite – I started off loving Dante’s Peak but as I tried more I like them just as much. The easiest wear is Pink Soap – a dream. In the swatch, bottom to top are: Pink Soap, Island Glow, Dante’s Peak and Pink Poetry. You can sign up for Lisa’s newsletter HERE or follow her on Instagram HERE.

Great review. Thanks for sharing. I ordered when they went live. Pleased I did now. Glow highlighters I’m never sure they suit me so opted out. Also went for a couple of lipglosses too. Looking forward to their arrival.

Thank you! I’ve got the gloss and lip reviews coming up tomorrow – so impressed with all of it.

Great thanks. Look forward to reading what you think of the lip glosses. I’ve just finished watching the series Lisa did on beauty. It was a fascinating watch hence my interest.

I’ve still got the last one to watch but loved the other two.

Your review, and the accompanying video on the ‘gram, are very thorough and have me excited! I set an alarm to place my order immediately when the new products launched, so I was able to find the Pink Poetry blush that I wanted (sadly the Velvet lipstick shades I coveted sold out within 15 minutes). If you film a clip of wearing the highlighter, I would be interested to see it. I did not order it because I am a bit afraid of looking like a disco ball (although why shouldn’t that be a #lifegoal for anyone…), but I am sure that LE’s version would be amazing and somewhat wearable.

Ah, I’m sure you will be delighted with it when it arrives xx

I’m so excited to receive my order…I was out hill waking when my 4pm phone alarm went off to remind me to order #priorities !! I’ve ordered Pink Soap blush , a lipstick – names escapes me – plus one of the highlighters….and I’m not even somebody who uses highlighters but Lisa’s demo video completely seduced me into believing I too could achieve highlighter nirvana! I’m also going to give a 10/10 to their customer services as in my excitement (and panic about being left behind by the other walkers!!) I ordered the wrong highlighter colour , I contacted them the next day and they very kindly let me change it, can you imagine the volume of orders they had yet they still let me do that!!! x

    1. Jane Cunningham

Oh please let me know how you get on with the highlight!

“Dante’s Peak” I’ve ordered pink poetry was lucky to get that at pink soap had sold out, thank you for the review I trust yours and Lisa’s judgement xx

      Thank you Jenny!

Thanks for this review. I got a Pink Soap and am glad to hear you love it. I got a highlighter, Crystal Nebula, and two lippies. I could not resist the names: Kitten Mischief and Dance Card. Now have to use more makeup!

    1. Jane Cunningham

Isn’t Kitten Mischief the best name?!!

Myth and blush lip gloss and Island glow and mountain walk blush here. Will share feedback when items received.

    1. Jane Cunningham

      Oh yes, please do 🙂

I forgot to ask earlier: Do you have an opinion on how LE’s Enlivening Blush compares with Glossier’s Cloud Paint? I have the Cloud Paint and find it quite easy to wear.

    1. Jane Cunningham

I think if you’re happy with Cloud Paint then stick with it but I’d say Lisa’s is a more refined version of that – the colours are less basic and the texture is more premium.

      1. Arpita

Excellent, thank you, Jane! I found Cloud Paint easy to apply, but it did not seem to last through the day. Lisa’s blush will be a welcome upgrade.

I love the blushers. Sadly the bottom of both of mine have split. Company have been superb. Such a shame as the products are a joy to use.

    1. Jane Cunningham

Oh, that’s a shame… but good to know they’ve been hot on the customer care.
