[unpaid/sample] While any tone can use this new shade, Pink Moon Rising, that’s just launched into the Lisa Eldridge Elevated Glow Highlighter Collection, it’s been formulated to complement light to extra light tones (between 1 – 14 in the Seamless Skin Foundation).
The thing about these highlighters is that they are as far away from the Instagram ‘glow’ as it’s possible to be so if you want seamless light catching without the bling, these are for you. The base that the luminosity is set in contains oat kernel, Tamarind Indica seed, Glycerin and, hmmm, how to explain this – a biopolymer blend that gives skin a subtle smoothing effect. I’m not sure how much it needs to be there because I can’t see when you’d only want certain parts of your face smoothed – I would absolutely love a whole jar of it for everywhere on my face but will stop short of highlighting my whole face to get the effects! It’s called FILMEXCEL and without wanting to forecast the future, if there isn’t a Lisa Eldridge moisturiser containing it on the cards, I will eat my words. I think, more than anything, its inclusion indicates the minute attention to detail the product has been given.
You get a very generous amount of product in the bottle and I like to use it by putting a drop in the palm of my hand and taking it to the face with a brush rather than dabbing and blending. You can layer up until you reach the perfect point for you. You can use the Highlighter before your make up but this shade is so subtle, I think I’d do it afterwards and for preference, over a glowy skin base. Pink Moon Rising is a cool toned pink – pared back in pigment but perfectly balanced for luminescence. It’s the epitome of a make-up artist’s eye because it’s the touch you don’t know your complexion needs until its breathing with you.
I’ve put it next to Crystal Nebula for reference but you really should head to the page with professionally shot pictures where you can really see it on different skin tones and at the level of glow it’s designed for. Lisa Eldridge Elevated Glow Highlighter Pink Moon Rising Review is £27 HERE.
