Just to be clear, the above lipstick isn’t part of the Medieval collection, but I’m including it in the post so I don’t end up with three posts on the same brand (a gorgeous sparkly gloss coming up in a separate post on Monday). This is Venetian Masquerade and falls into the same camp as Frog Prince and Jungle Queen etc in that it uses pH reaction to create a colour on your lips. On mine, it came out a creamy pink (swatched later) that got deeper as time went on. I absolutely love the packaging – can you imagine an entire collection that looks like this? How sumptuous.
The Medieval Collection comprises three blue-red lip products (great for anyone sick of coral infused reds) – the only one I don’t have is the Medieval Lipstick. The middle lip is Medieval Intense – a full on colour saturation in a natural finish (neither fully matte nor fully sheen). It’s a very glidey experience – silky to the touch and light feeling (although not weightless) on the lips. If you liked the original Medieval Lipstick, you’ll like this.
My favourite – obviously, being a gloss lover – is Medieval Tinted Lip Lixir. It’s a glossy wash of colour – not full saturation, but a diluted, translucent, wearable shade that is perfect if loud reds are a level too far. It’s almost raspberry-ish rather than red but again, a blue-tone dream.
In the swatch above, Lixir, Intense and Venetian Masquerade. Lixir is £18, Intense is £18 and the original lipstick is £22. Venetian Masquerade is also £22. They’re all HERE at SpaceNK, non affiliate HERE.
