[sample/affiliate] This Lancome Limited Edition collection is looking so pretty! Especially the lipsticks and mascara that have a sparkling frosted detail on them.
My first thought on seeing this was that people generally aren’t all that keen on lip palettes. But then once I’d swatched it I really saw the merits for anyone who likes to chop and change their lip shades regularly, to give a push to anyone who doesn’t go out of their comfort zone and try anything new and for anyone with an office drawer who needs to have a day to evening switch up at short notice. I suddenly saw all the reasons why a lip palette is a great idea. The formula, by the way, isn’t gloopy, so colour cross contamination would be hard to make happen (make sure you wipe your brush each time). Either end is a shine formula top coat so you can gloss up the low sheen finish of the other shades. It’s £45. My one critique is a practical one – the surface of the palette is a mirror effect so you’ll be forever polishing your prints off it.
The shades are: Copper Top Coat, A La Folie (sheer), Rouge Passion (drama matte), Adoration (drama matte), Rose Lancome (matte), Poem (matte), O Oui (cream), Pourquis Pas? (sheer), Light Pink Top Coat.
There are three L’Absolu Rouge Limited Editions featuring a red, a neutral and a gold.
They’ve all got that wonderful ‘new lipstick’ rose scent – shades are Golden Holiday (more of an overcoat for other colours – I can’t see this suiting anyone on its own), Caprice (red) and Rose Nu.
I think this is a good edit – a bright, a neutral and a fancy. They’re £27 each.
The Limited Edition Hypnose Drama Mascara is the grand finale – it’s £25.50 and needs no explanation. Everything is HERE. Non affiliate is HERE.
