Really, you can take your pick from the selection of lovely lip oils for the summer – YSL, Clarins, Barry M and now Isadora. This brand brought out a clear version a while ago, but now they’ve upped the game with four tinted oils to go alongside the clear. I have to say, that in company with most lip oils unless they contain a stain ingredient, they are extremely light on the lip in terms of colour. You get a nuance of tint, rather than a downright obvious one.
I really like this version – they’re just a tad more glossy than most so they feel more gloss than oil and for that reason, I think, they tend to stay on the lip longer than oils do. I’m sure it’s a recipe variation on a theme and the glossy element is a big draw for me. They’re slightly sweetly flavoured but it’s not horrid being a blend of vanilla, rosemary and fresh lime (which I never would have guessed!) and they do actually feel quite lip softening and conditioning.
Shades from bottom to top in the swatch are: Pink Berry, Rose, Mandarin and Coral and when they launch this month. The clear one is £12.50 so I imagine these will be the same although I don’t have a price confirmation yet. You can find Isadora at FeelUnique.com.
