While it’s the bronzing wheel that looks like the star of the show from the Isadora Beach Collection, I’m really impressed with the creme bronzing highlight stick that’s such an easy wear on almost all tones. I mean, you just swipe it, buff it with a brush and that’s it. Last summer, I used a MAC stick as a bronze shade blush – I’ll use it again this year I’m sure because it’s got no shimmer in it and I like that – so I’m much more open to stick style bronzing than any contouring or shading.
The wheel isn’t new and I’m sure I’ve featured it before, but it’s genuinely a handy thing if you’re indecisive about whether you want to blush, bronze or highlight – or all three! All options available. The stick, however, is quite light in colour so it’s not scary and nor does it require a high level of tan. It’s kind of soft focussing, lightly shimmery and gives cheeks a gorgeous gleam rather than beam. It’s more subtle than many highlighters I’ve seen and quite far from the mega watt glows available so I think it’s more for the half-hearted, not quite sure how to do it, am I too old for it glowers amongst us – and that’s 100% me! It’s gone straight into the keep drawer.
I don’t have UK conversion prices and these are on the verge of launching on Feel Unique but haven’t quite done so yet. Worth looking out for though, especially as we’re due some sunshine next week. The glow stick colour is first in the swatch line up.
