If you don’t know the Hera brand, it’s a full range skin care and make up brand from Korea. Earlier in the year they collaborated with Olympia Le Tan to create some of the most gorgeous make-up I’ve ever seen. My pics are a bit ropy as I’ve had to take them from commercial sites – strangely, on the Hera site there is only a video of the collection and absolutely no usable images at all.
But, here’s what’s interesting about this collection. It contains a next-gen Cushion Foundation which they’re calling a Cushion Mist. Of course, a solid mist is a complete contradiction in terms, but if you remember Dr Jart’s Water range, that on application, little droplets of water appear on this skin, it’s the same kind of thing. So the Hera Olympia Le Tan Collection Cushion Foundation contains (bearing in mind it’s for the Korean market), SPF50, whitening essence, moisturiser and foundation, and with the mist element (from mineral clay water which is said to lower the skin’s temperature), a cooling effect on the skin.
Imomoko, which is a site I often use for buying Korean cosmetics has a few of the Olympia Le-Tan cushions left; otherwise they’re pretty much sold out. They’re HERE. (there are now other versions available.. just search mist cushions) Since almost all the exciting innovations in beauty come out of Korea, I love keeping up with the trends – we’ll probably be years behind but I imagine eventually we will see similar foundation formulas here.
