[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] Guerlain’s spring offering centres around the pearl so there’s plenty of lustre in these beautiful lipsticks.
There’s something rather wedding-ish about these (you have to wait for 30 years of matrimony for it to be your pearl anniversary by the way!) – imagine if one of these was your wedding lipstick… it’s such a keepsake for anything special.
I have a few facts about Meteorites (new ones coming up in a later post) which have earned Guerlain certification as a Living Heritage Business. All the Meteorites are made by just five people, balancing water and powder to the perfect ‘hold’. It’s a process that takes five hours to complete – I’ve found some images from the atelier where they’re made HERE that are worth a look (they’re not mine so I can’t post them) – and Guerlain describes the process as ‘hand-guided’. So, pearls have great resonance for the brand because of Meteorites.
There are two Rouge G Cases and two Rouge G lipstick shades. As you might guess, the shades have a pearlised, lustred element to them, my favourite being the deeper tones of No.76. The lighter, golden shade is 07.
As you can see, they’re more of a sheeny lip light than a full on lipstick making them very easy wears. The pink case is Pink Glow and the white is Pearl Glow HERE, the Rouge G Lipsticks are HERE. Confusingly, they’re both called Sheer Shine HERE. Cases are £32 and lipsticks are £26.
