If your mood has switched up to thinking about when the light hits your skin instead of rain, the Guerlain spring collection will put a smile on your face. It’s themed around pastels which aren’t the easiest to wear, but when mags start showing spring face looks it will probably seem a bit more do-able. Above is the Guerlain Meteorites Holographic Powder with two shades in one compact. The first site is golden pink while the second is more of a silvery lavender. As you can see, it’s got a high level of detail and the powder itself is whispery-soft. I wondered if it would have the traditional Guerlain violet scent but it doesn’t smell of anything. It’s very shimmery and there is some shade nuance when the sun hits it but not quite holo.
There are five shades of lipstick – all pastel – and the one I have here is Lilac Moon, which is one of two ‘holos’ meaning that it’s very shimmery and light catchy.
It’s not for me but I could gaze at the star and moon imprint all day long.
As ever, there are three pressed pearl compacts (actually, a very nice deeper toned one for summer) – this one is Clair/Light, 2. They’re £42. The lipsticks are £20.50 and the highlighter is £45. The collection is called Morning Love and I think I get that – it’s more about freshness and light than deep hits of colour.
I have the worst possible light conditions for swatching (bright sunshine that leaches colour) but I think you can get the general idea.. the lipstick is more shimmery than it seems here. You can find the collection HERE.
