[unpaid/sample] Guerlain is really pushing through on their natural and sustainable messaging (amongst other things, they do sterling work with bee conservation) and never more so with their Spring/Summer offerings of the new KissKiss Shine Bloom and Teracotta Bronzing Powder.
In the case of the Terracotta Bronzing Powder (and who doesn’t need a little warmth right now), it’s using 96% naturally derived ingredients (six shades) and have kept the very thing that makes it ‘Terracotta’ – the fragrance of Ylang-ylang and orange blossom. I imagine that is the 4% that can’t be described as ‘natural’ (although it’s a very woolly term) but is kept for either product integrity or sensoriality. I wouldn’t have it any other way.
I can’t remember if it was Guerlain that coined the 3 application method for bronzer – a sweep of the brush starting at the forehead, dipping into the cheekbone and finishing on the jaw in the shape of a number 3, but it’s tried and tested and works. Guerlain Terracotta Powder is infused with argon which means, even for powder averse people like me, it’s not at all drying. It’s £39 HERE.
I hate to use the term ‘obsessed’ but oh my – the texture of the Kiss Kiss Shine Bloom lipsticks is utterly lovely (they’re launching in May so I’ll revisit nearer the time). It’s as soft and hydrating and shiny as my beloved Gucci balm, with shade Love Bloom, coming in as very acceptable alternative in a kind of vibrant geranium red.
The shades I have here are Love Bloom and My Kiss Glow which is a pH type formula that will give a bit of a tint when in contact with the skin but there will be 20 shades. While I remember there are also a couple of fragrances, but I still have several in the queue in front of them so will get to them in due course.
