GOSH To Party In London Palette

GOSH Party In London Palette

There are several new launches ahead from GOSH so I’ve pulled out three to tell you about today with more to follow. First up, the To Party In London Palette, with nine moody metallic shades that are definitely sliding us into the autumn season. As you can see, there is a new version of Lumi Drops, too.

Although my information says that this palette is mixed textures, even after swatching I was convinced that is was all metallics. As far as I can tell the brown shades are supposed to be matte but they don’t fall into my experience of matte! I’ve re-swatched and find them sheeny!  The lighter three colours (bottom in the picture above) are very lightful, as is the gold, but I would still say the rest have a metallic element. A full on metallic eye isn’t the easiest of things to wear, age, eye colour and skin tone regardless, but I’m pleased to have it and I know I’ll use it. I just don’t see it as a something I could wear without some taming down. It’s £11.99 which seems reasonable.

I’ve swatched downwards in threes.

GOSH Lumi Drops

I had an issue with the new Lumi Drops in Rose Gold in that the product had separated in the bottle and took a lot of shaking to make it come together again. It’s not the best start to testing a product. It may just be mine – how it was stored or something – but it really was very separated.

GOSH Lumi Drops

As you can see, it’s very pretty once on the skin – not too bright or loud and it diffused beautifully when I tried it with an oval brush. I’ve swatched it next to the (also) new Eye Primer stick which I’m really impressed with as a quick ‘hold-me’ eye product that takes seconds to apply. It is apparently very effective for oily lids but I don’t have that issue particularly so can’t confirm. Thinking about it though, I’m not sure why there isn’t a darker toned product – I am not sure how effective this would be on black skin.

GOSH Eye Primer Stick

Although the primer stick is the least ‘exciting’ product, it’s definitely going to be the most useful to me because I don’t have anything like it.

All of the above launch at the end of this month at Superdrug.

  1. The products from GOSH seem to not perform very well, I have yet to heard about a good product from them.
