Givenchy Prisme Blush Make Over

Givenchy Prisme Blush Make Over

Givenchy is having a face-lift – one of the last categories to get their make-over is the blush section. So, here they are now, all neat and tidy in a shiny case with an angled brush, mirror and two tones (one matte, one pearly) in each one.

The shade blends are all based on emotions when it comes to naming. So, from left to right we have: Wild, Spice and Passion. Passion is also the first picture and my favourite.

I will say that my camera is showing them slightly brighter than they actually are (especially in this picture, but swatches will reveal their ambient shades). In this shot, it’s Spirit, Tender and Love.

The final pretty pair are Rite and Romantica.

In this swatch, it’s Spirit, Rite, Romantic and Passion. I will say that the little brush isn’t exactly the most accurate unless you’re doing a kind of ‘slice’ of blush thing but there is a fair amount of pigment so go quite gently to start with. I ended up with much redder cheeks than I was expecting on my first go with Passion!

At £33.50, they’re pretty pricy but it’s a great job done by Nicolas Degennes. The Prisme is such an iconic part of Givenchy that to change it too much would stretch it away from the brand. As it is, it’s more elegant, more streamlined but completely recognisable.

I use to love the big Prism blush pots they did years ago. I love the look of Passion. x

  2. Adore Givenchy blushes and use mine almost daily. I never use the brush but the actual product brings live even where there is none! x
