[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] It’s roughly once in a blue moon (or longer) that I find a concealer that I can get along with. Once you start getting fine creases under your eyes, concealers are a whole new world of pain because they’re not really made for skin anything other than perfectly smooth. I am happy to never use one – if I look tired, it’s because I am and so what?! I tested out the Neo Nude Natural Glow Foundation and didn’t get along with it at all – it sank into every pore on my nose so I need to try again when I’ve done a proper exfoliation and moisturise to see if the same thing happens – and at the same time, the Luminious Silk Concealer. What a revelation!
It’s wet enough that it spreads evenly and well and didn’t exacerbate creases – in fact, moved perfectly well with them while giving a decent amount of coverage. Most concealers contain so much powder that once the moisture has evaporated a little road map of powder remains but that doesn’t seem to be the case here.
It’s always good to have options – I still maintain that if I look tired give me a break not a concealer but it’s just such a relief to find something that makes things better, not worse. At the same time, I tried the A-Blush in 53 – also an absolute joy and totally my kind of blush.
Totally a ‘me’ product – I love the doe’s foot applicator and the fluidity of the formula that allows you to blend a translucent flush over your cheeks. I used three small dots on each cheek to get a natural looking tint. The tint doesn’t feel completely watery – there are some emolients in there for sure – and it was a little bit light catchy in the finish.
My shade of concealer is the first one – 5, and the other is 3.75 followed by the blush. Concealer is £34.50 HERE, and A-Blush is £32 HERE. Non affiliate is HERE.
